I was very blessed to be able to have the day off and go "play" at my friend Sheryl's house on Friday. Her sister Rhonda is visiting from out of town and we had a great time!
I completed a couple of cards pictured below.

I also had to complete the "bird" theme for the round robin for my art group. Here is what I came up with.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Dominoes and More

I went to a Scrapbook and Stamp Expo on the 24th and found these mini dominoes and decided to try my hand at altering them. This is what I came up with.
I used alcohol ink and then stamped on top of that. (The stamps are new too.)

Here is a card I made using one of the dominoes.

Here are some other cards.

This one says "What do you think I do all Day, sit around the house?

Thanks for looking!!

Christmas Cards and...

I am trying to get caught up on my card making for an art fair on the 14th of Nov. and trying to get enough cards done for me to send out. Here is a sample of my cards.
Also, the art group that I am in has that round robin going on and I was to do something with the theme of funny ladies. So, since Lucy is one of my favorites, I came up with this collage...It's the first picture.
I apologize for the blurry pictures...it was either too much coffee or just not enough.
Thanks for looking!

Road Trip...Final Day

We woke up and of course were hungry so we found a great place for breakfast...Paul Bunyon's Food Shanty. Very interesting indeed but very good. You sit at picnic tables and they serve you family style starting off with my favorite...donuts!!! I love donuts!
Then they bring out pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, ham and another kind of sausage. And its all you can eat! We left there very full!
We left the Dells and headed to Madison in search of...you guessed it...Quilt shops and scrapbook stores. This time I was happy. I found a store...Scrapbook Memories...and looked around. I bought some cool stuff and was satisfied! Rich found some things at the quilt store too. After that we headed home. I am now on the couch, computer o my lap and blanket for warmth!

I would like to thank everyone who followed along and commented or emailed regarding my adventure!

Pictures will be available hopefully soon.

Road Trip Day 3

Woke up had breakfast and continued our search for quilt stores and scrap stores.
Rich was successful at finding the quilt stores...I found an Archivers. At least
it was where the map said it was! I got a few things and am happy about that.
We found it in St. Paul MN.
After that we started driving south east and came to Black River Falls, WI.
Nice drive cool trees everywhere. We were gonna stay the night at the Majestic
Pines Casino and play a bit but there was no vacancy, so we played some penny slots
and actually left there with our money and a bit more.
We are now in the Wisconsin Dells. Found a good place to eat and a Hotel for rest.

Raod Trip Day 2

Today we were on a mission...find quilting stores AND scrapbook stores.
Sounds simple enough right? We did good on finding 3...count them...3 quilt shops.
I did look on line for scrap stores as well and there were 2 in La Crosse.
Thats what the web said...The first address we get to is a house!!! No scrap
store....a house! I was sad. Then the next address was...a lumber yard!!! Sadness!!
What is up with this. How come quilt stores are found but not scrap stores!!!
Oh well, the trip heading north was beautiful.
We are in Hudson WI and don't know where we will go next.

Road trip

Hi All,
I am currently on a road trip with my dear husband Richard.
We are traveling along the Mississippi heading north.
We started in Milwaukee and are right now in La Crosse.
The scenic route is just beautiful and I have seen something
I have never seen before...Lock and Dam systems!
Way cool. These huge barges go through this system and wait as the
water level decreases so they can continue on their way down the river.
It is sooo cool. One tugboat with barges attached can carry as much freight
as 870 fully loaded Semis with a crew of only about 5 people!!
And behind us as we watched were train tracks and 3 trains went by!
I love trains!!!
I don't have photos at this moment because i forgot my card reader, duh!
Will try to take some with my iphone.

Will also update the cards I made on Saturday and Monday!

Later...
